Editor, Deputy Editor, Web Coordinator, Designers, and a Marketing Manager
All posts are encouraged to think of new and exciting ways to source student work from across the University for the magazine and website, build links with the creative industries and use the activity to build your skills and employability.
Training:
The SU will plan a limited amount of team building training over the summer holidays based on the availability of the members of the new LCMS team.
Time Commitment:
We recommend the team hold recruitment stall and activity during Freshers’ Festival Big Fayre (29th September) to recruit other students to contribute as journalists for the magazine. You should expect to be in London and available at this time to help.
We suggest that the team meet for at least 1 hour each week. Students’ Union Meeting space and desks will be made available one evening per week to facilitate this. Towards production deadlines you may have to put more time in to get the magazine ready.
The team usually produces a magazine at the end of the 1st term, another for release in May/June before the degree shows, and a final edition for release during Freshers’ Festival 2011.
Expenses:
All roles are voluntary opportunities, LCMS is a student-led activity in the same way as any society or media group at SUARTS. Travel Costs where a student is out of pocket will be covered.
Some food and drink will also be covered where meetings are extended in length.
