Web Designers

* work with the Web Director, in consultation with the editorial team, to update the LCMS website and make it more efficient and inspiring.
* assist the Web Director in overhauling the layout of the website, taking the lead with the development programme.
* interpret the direction of other team members into graphic output and ensure consistency throughout the website.
* knowledge of WordPress is essential; knowledge of other web creation software is preferred.
* ideas for web redesign, referencing other well-designed, popular websites, would be useful.

Attributes/Skills useful: Leadership, confident in use of WordPress to create layout and design, teamwork, attention to detail, and some experience with web publishing is desirable in candidates.

Less Common More Sense

• Who are we? Less Common More Sense is your best friend. If you’re hoping to get your work out there and published, then look no further.
• What are we? Less Common More Sense is University of the Arts London’s official student media brand. It includes the award-winning magazine, this website and a host of events throughout the year.
• Why do we exist? To promote you! The one and only purpose of LCMS is to showcase the great work of UAL’s students and alumni.
• Where can I find the magazine? At every UAL campus. Full details of exact locations to come closer to publication.
• When can I get a copy? The next issue will be out at the beginning of the second term (January, 2011). There are only 2,000 copies and 26,000 of you, so you have to be quick!
• How can I be a part of this? Submissions for the next issue, the Time/Space Issue, are now open. So if you have anything you think is worthy of LCMS then submit it under our Contribute section.
• Don’t forget to keep an eye out for our events and support us in creating a bigger and better magazine.
