I’m tearing my hair out!!!! applying for photography BA at LCF, I’m at LCC doing foundation right now, I’m spending at least 3 days a week at LCF library trying to soak up inspiration, I’ve worked in the fashion industry as a photgraphic assistant and I’m photographing fashion week, YET still my tutor here is telling me I’ve got no chance, oh please please please God give me a sign, before I give up fashion completely, move back to my home land of cornwall and be a surfer bum!

If I could describe January in terms of a train, it would most certainly be the Hong Kong Airport Express, as it’s passing under Tsing Ma Bridge. If you’ve been on it you’ll know, maybe. Anyways here are some moments from this month.

That night my bathtub decided to regurgigate the collective shit again. Lovely. This is the tub in it’s better state, you should’ve seen it and smellt it on the night. Said hello to showering and shitting at friend’s places for a week again.

There were dark days where it was snowing outside and I was watching the beauty from the warmth of my room.

My lovely Eman came back and not a moment too soon! Dinner catch-up sesh at The Diner.

And this ends my black and white film-using phase. Totally over it. Can’t develop a good roll to save my life, or a turtles’.

London town has been snowing lately which is so nice. Staring at it from my window. I’m such a bum I have just been in my flat chain smoking and drinking and sleeping – and repeat. For days. I see the occasional face or two but that’s about it.

Took some pics of the snow but it didn’t settle like it did last year. Remember last year? Well here are some pictures to jog your memory. All taken around Blackfriars Road / South.

Konstantinos got us some free Pret sushi. Yum.

…was a good month. There was Christmas cookie baking and movies at Petra’s with Vicki.

And Sara.

There was ice skating at Tower Hill with Finn and Iris.

There was chillage at the diner after.

There were dinner parties like the one Nikoo had at her flat in London Fields.

There was flying back to Hong Kong for two weeks and chilling with the Hefti’s and my god mother and the new parrot.

There was hanging with Andi at Noon Day Gun.

There was the view from my new place which I don’t like.

There was the view of what used to be Queen’s Pier and is now being turned into whatever the government has planned, a waterfront park? Probably some artificial ‘paradise’ with grass that you can’t step on again. (Dislike).

There was a lot of snail paced monged out travel sessions on the trams which I love.

There were brunch club sessions with Payal and our macbooks.

There was Dim Sum lunches with my dad and bro.

And brunch club chillage with Emma.

I don’t know why I never posted these pictures anywhere before, probably because they’re of my mother and she’s a fragile subject for me. But I recently stumbled upon them. Took them in 2006, fuck that was a good year photographically. Most of my favourite work is from then. These were from a office boat trip party in Hong Kong. I had just bought this really cheap TLR camera and was testing it out.
