Portraits of Iris in the studio on Friday. For my Uni project, our theme is something roughly to do with genres and mediums, so I’m working on a series blurring the lines between fashion imagery and portraiture. More in-depth description soon, these are general experiments that are sort of headed the direction I want the images to go.

If I could describe January in terms of a train, it would most certainly be the Hong Kong Airport Express, as it’s passing under Tsing Ma Bridge. If you’ve been on it you’ll know, maybe. Anyways here are some moments from this month.

That night my bathtub decided to regurgigate the collective shit again. Lovely. This is the tub in it’s better state, you should’ve seen it and smellt it on the night. Said hello to showering and shitting at friend’s places for a week again.

There were dark days where it was snowing outside and I was watching the beauty from the warmth of my room.

My lovely Eman came back and not a moment too soon! Dinner catch-up sesh at The Diner.

And this ends my black and white film-using phase. Totally over it. Can’t develop a good roll to save my life, or a turtles’.

…was a good month. There was Christmas cookie baking and movies at Petra’s with Vicki.

And Sara.

There was ice skating at Tower Hill with Finn and Iris.

There was chillage at the diner after.

There were dinner parties like the one Nikoo had at her flat in London Fields.

And at Kelsang’s in Finsbury Park.

There was flying back to Hong Kong for two weeks and chilling with the Hefti’s and my god mother and the new parrot.

There was hanging with Andi at Noon Day Gun.

There was the view from my new place which I don’t like.

There was the view of what used to be Queen’s Pier and is now being turned into whatever the government has planned, a waterfront park? Probably some artificial ‘paradise’ with grass that you can’t step on again. (Dislike).

There was a lot of snail paced monged out travel sessions on the trams which I love.

There were brunch club sessions with Payal and our macbooks.

There was Dim Sum lunches with my dad and bro.

And brunch club chillage with Emma.

Mamiya RB67 + Polaroid Back + Studio + Fuji FP100C

Had a booking for the studio today at uni with Petra, Iris and Vicki who are also hereby known as my babes. I’ve actually never used a studio properly before, they’re so intimidating and I don’t know much about lighting. These are just test shots, so excuse how technically lame they may be. I got some better ones which I shall post soon so do hold your breath. Until you turn blue.
